Terms
Whereabouts Reconstruct is operated by Union Street Studios, LLC. By using it you agree to these terms. Questions go to ben@unionst.com.
What it does
You upload records for a client and a tax year. The service reads them and produces a day-by-day ledger of which state the client was in, with the record behind each day. Running a matter and seeing the day counts is free. Unlocking the evidence, the memo, the exports, and the exhibit for a matter costs $499, paid once per client per tax year. After that you can add records and run the matter again at no further charge.
What it is not
The output is assembled by software from the records you supply. It is not legal, tax, or accounting advice, and it does not decide residency or domicile. It can be wrong where the records are wrong, incomplete, illegible, or belong to someone other than the client. A qualified professional must review it before it is relied on or given to a tax authority.
Your responsibilities
- You have the right to upload the records you upload and to share them with the people you add to a matter.
- You review the output, including which cardholder’s charges are counted and every day marked inferred or flagged.
- You keep your sign-in email secure. Anyone with access to it can open your matters.
Your data
How records are stored, who processes them, and how to delete them is set out in Privacy and data handling, which is part of these terms. You can delete a document or a matter at any time, and deletion removes it from our store immediately.
Payment and refunds
Payment is taken by Stripe. If you unlock a matter and the result is not usable for that client, email within 30 days and the payment for that matter will be refunded.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Union Street Studios, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability for a matter is limited to the amount you paid for that matter.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the change will be posted here with its date. Last updated October 6, 2026.
